Our set of twelve Royal Doulton cabinet plates depicting game birds are signed E. Percy, the pseudonym employed by Edwin Wood and the prolific Percy Curnock, two of the firm's most prolific and admired painters.  Curnock was the firm's longest serving decorator, having started in 1885 and retiring in 1954.E. Percy, a pseudonym employed by both Wood and the prolific Percy Curnock on part transfer, part handpainted pieces.

Included are six pairs of plates, and ten plates are signed E. Percy.  Some signatures are faintly signed. One has a light scratch about a half inch in length in the center, one plate has a couple of small light scratches, and another with a three inch long scratch. 10 1/4 inch diameter.
