Samurai Silvered and Gilt Bronze Sculpture

Our fine, vintage figurine of a Japanese samurai warrior holding bowl and kikuchi yari spear was cast in bronze and partially gilt in gold and silver. Signed. Measures 12 x 11 x 4 inches. Spear cast separately and rests inside the figure's hand. We have not yet deciphered the signature. Condition is very good. There are small spots of pitting to the finish, scratches and such, all consistent with a work of this kind dating from the early to mid twentieth century.
