Art Nouveau Marabou Stork Cigar cutter, Ignatius Taschner, Munich Germany, C.1900. Ignatius Taschner (1871 - 1913), Sculpture, Medalist, Graphic Designer and Illustrator. Brass and copper riveted, the bird's eye is the opening for the cigar and the beak is the knife. The cigar cutter is 14.5 cm high and 15.5 cm long and 11 cm wide. Maximum height with `beak cutter’ vertical: 9.25 inches, height with beak in horizontal position: 6 inches. Width: 5.25 inches.
