Our client's bronze is an excellent casting of The Chariot of the Dawn (Le Char de l'Aurore), after the original model by Auguste Moreau (1834-1917).  This charming work depicts the Roman goddess of dawn, Aurora, emerging from a chariot of shelf form, with doves and Cupid at her feet.  Nameplate reads Char De L'Aurore par Aug. Moreau, Medaille au Salon.
