Late nineteenth century to early twentieth century carriage clock, French, sold through Bigelow, Kennard & Co., Boston, striking hours and half hours on a coiled gong, repeating, alarm. Roman numeral hours on dial for hours, Arabic numerals for alarm. Dial signed Bigelow, Kennard & Co., Boston and "FRANCE" between the time and alarm dials. Marked 13 Jewels (reverso) with engraved labels for setting each function. Clock is in fine working order, all mechanics original along with hands, dial, case.
