R. & W. Wilson , Philadelphia HOT WATER URN

Unavailable
( THE AUCTION IS FIR THE URN ONLY )The Hot Water Urn is a magnificent piece of HAND WROUGHT repoussed silver . R & W Wilson is a well known Philadelphia maker early in the 19th century. It is hand wrought , with beautiful "C" scrolls and florals reminding us of the early Kirk and Sons holloware. The Chinese man sits atop as the finial , on his tasseled pillow , smoking his pipe . The reverse shows his reverse - with his "que" hanging down his back. It is in wonderful condition -- no repairs , that I can see -no damage . The burner is in tact -- it slides out as one of the petals on the base , with a key .It is a Centenial piece as it is dated in the cartouche 1876 The urn comes with an equally wonderful coffee pot , with Chinese man finial --just sitting arms folded on a box .(listed) There is a creamer ,identical, that was made by Shreve --- and the sugar (Wilson) unfortunately, is missing the lid .(listed) The price is for the Urn only. .Other pics may be sent of all the pieces.WE WELCOME QUESTIONS ; we look forward to hearing from you and helping you add this historic silver to your collection.MORE PICS ON REQUEST
