Circa 1950's Handbag: The body is made up of woven metal strips. I do not know what type of metal this is, it is very thin. I believe the lid and handle are made of lucite. It has it's original swivel hook-clasp. The lining is satin, intact and in pretty good condition. The back top edge of the lining has come loose from frame, but is not serious. The original tag is still in bag- Dorset-Rex Fifth Avenue. There is a patent number on the bottom. (#24868). On one end of the body of the purse, there is pitting to the metal strips. I was able to remove much of it. I don't think it is so noticible that it takes away from the overall appearance of the handbag. It is aprox. 6" Tall X 9 1/2" wide X 3 1/2".
