This is a nice, outside caliper that appears to have been hand forged. It measures 10.0" long overall and has a very nice snug pivot joint. It features nice flatten legs, and squared off tips. Overall good condition with no rust. A really nice looking tool for the early 1800's era, perhaps a bit earlier.
