Stoneware canning jar made by the Peoria Pottery Company, circa 1885. Clear impressed mark on unglazed bottom. Dark brown glaze on body; stands 7"h. Twelve-sided with waistband, slimmer at top and bottom of jar. Good condition with very little damage, just a few minor flakes and the usual imperfections associated with utilitarian pottery of this type and age.  Inglenook Antiques...Established 1989.
