Paper Mache Box , Coasters & Tip Trays Set

Paper Mache Box & Coasters & Tip Tray Set. This is a set of 8 coasters and a box that they are stored in plus 4 tip trays made of paper mache then covered with paper that has gold and mauve flowers and green leaves on some flowers with gold leaves on the others, then a finish of maybe shellac. The bottom of the coasters and tip trays and inside and bottom of the box seems to be painted white with a little peeling off of two of the coasters and a little pulling apart around the edge of the two. The other six coasters are in excellent condition. The coasters are 4 1/4" across and the box is 4 5/8. The box has some of the gold on flowers worn off otherwise excellent condition. The tip trays are 8 1/4" long x 5 3/8 with a few specks of paper off otherwise in excellent condition. On the bottom of the box and tip trays is an original red sticker that reads A Quality Import, Mason International Ltd, New York 11, N. Y., Made in Japan. On the bottom of the coasters in blue ink marked Made In Japan. Also on the bottom of the tip trays is stamped Alcohol Proof. This set appears to have been made before the 1930's. This is a neat set of lacquer ware!!
