Our lovely watercolor in the Orientalist style by Paolo Folchi (Italian, 19th century) depicts two female sitar players and their male attendant serving tea.  Watercolor on paper mounted to board.  Signed in lower right corner.

Period, glazed frame measures 29 x 36 x 2 inches and portion of the painting visible measures 20 x 27 inches. Rear carries the paper label of the Detroit-based art dealer, William O'Leary, who is known to have travelled to Europe to acquire paintings and sculpture. Folchi's works have appeared at major auctions here in the U.S. and in Europe, including Christie's and Sotheby's, among others.  A most recent sale occurred at Sotheby's in London in their Orientalist Sale on April 25, 2023, when lot 64, a framed watercolor by Folchi measuring 14 3/4 by 22 1/2 in, 21 3/4 by 30 in as framed, was offered with an estimate of 7,000-10,000 GBP and closed at 7,620 GBP (9,461 USD).
