Pair Orientalist Porcelain Chargers from Bernardaud of Limoges, France

Unavailable

Included here are two very large (19.5 in, 50 cm diameter) hand-painted porcelain chargers in the Orientalist style from Bernardaud et Cie of Limoges, France, dating from 1900-1910.   Each is signed Dusson and one carries the additional signature Cojou.

The firm was formed in 1900 following the disolve of Remi Delinieres et Cie of which Leonard Bernardaud became a partner in 1895.  It is one of a very few nineteenth century Limoges factories to have survived the Great Depression and world wars, and still operates today.
