Our pair of bronze ewers in the manner of Clodion date from the early 20th century and measure an impressive 37 1/2 inches (95.9 cm) tall.

The largest examples of their kind we have ever handled, each features a Bacchanal scene with gilt acanthus leaf mounts and  are surmounted by a patinated figure of Cupid.

Each ewer is in good condition with scratches, light indentations, a few areas of light verdigris and wear/loss to the gilding in spots.
