Pair Floral Still Life Paintings on Porcelain after Edmond van Coppenolle

Unavailable

This lovely pair of hand-painted porcelain plaques date from the late 19th to early 20th century and reside in polished, lacquered brass frames measuring 19 by 15 3/4 inches and 20 1/4 by 17 1/4 inches.  Signed A van Coppenolle, after Edmond van Coppenolle (1846-1914).  Verso also carries the partially mark reading PARIS with indecipherable initials inside a beaded oval.  Overall condition of each is good. There are scratches, bends and other wear to the brass frames, and light scratches to the painted surfaces.  Coppenolle was a popular Belgian painter known for his floral still life paintings.  His works periodically appear at major auction and have sold in excess of $20,000.
