Our client's large (19 1/2 by 6 1/4 inch) pair of French porcelain vases by Gustave Asch (1856-1911) with cobalt blue glazed finish feature the gilt figures of heron birds standing on tree branches in the Japonisme style.  Each 19 1/2 by 6 1/4 inches.  Signed in gold "France" on underside with Asch's mark, a medieval style axe.  Signed on sides in stylized vertical fashion, "Cerma" with the letters "erma" within a large letter "C".  One has a paper label from L Le Coader Fils, Bordeaux, 4 & 6, R. des Lauriers, a boutique dealing in porcelain and glass around the turn of the last century.
