Our pair of antique (nineteenth century) silvered metal (apparently spelter) sconces in the manner of Andre Charles Boulle (1642-1732), and the Louis XV Regence period (1715-1723), are modeled as classically-draped male and female herms holding acanthus-wrapped scrolling branches with ribbed, circular drip pans and nozzles, with backplate with flower heads and foliate base. 17.5 by 12 by 10.5 inches. Condition of each is good.  There are slight bends to the candle arms and mounts are a little loose, but nonetheless each are structurally sound. They may certainly accommodate candelabra size sockets and wiring.

These sconces will compliment any classical or neoclassical decor such as English Georgian, Regency, French Louis XVI or Empire.
