Pair Antique Louis XVI Neoclassical Style Gilt Bronze and Wedgwood Jasperware Five-Candle Sconces
This wonderful pair of French Louis XVI style gilt bronze wall appliques, attributed to Edward F. Caldwell, circa 1910s, feature neoclassical blue and white Jasperware plaques and five newly electrified candles. The finest of their kind we have seen in our 13 years in business. A similar but smaller pair with three candles was offered by #Sotheby's in New York on May 25, 2012, lot 187, with an estimate of $18,000-$22,000.
