Pair Antique Louis XVI Sevres Style Porcelain and Gilt Bronze Urns

Unavailable

Our pair of antique porcelain urns in the 18th century Sevres style date from the mid to late 19th century and feature hand-painted cartouches depicting frolicking putti and floral bouquets, and ormolu bronze mounts including satyr form handles.

Each approximately 10 1/2 by 6 1/4 by 4 1/2 inches, 26.7 by 15.9 by 11.4 cm.

There is rubbing wear to the gilding, particularly around the painted cartouches and on the lids, some losses to the turquoise colored jewels around the cartuches and more noticeably on the lids, scratches, oxidation and rubbing wear to the gilding, and some areas of verdigris. The interiors of the urns are discolored.
