Pair of Palatial Aesthetic Terracotta Vases and Stands
This wonderful pair of terracotta vases with woodens stands, each painted in the Aesthetic style, date from the late 19th to early 20th century, and measure 61 in ( cm) tall and 17.5 in (55 cm) in diameter. Vases measure 38 in (97 cm) tall and the stands 23 in (58 cm) tall. Overall condition of each is good. There is a repair measuring approximately 3 by 9 inches visible to the underside of the rim of one vase, firing cracks to the rim of the foot, crazing throughout, scratches and small chip losses throughout, all consistent with age. The stands are also in good condition, with nicks, scuffs and scratches, and two 6 in long shrinkage cracks visible between the arches and the top surfaces. Additional images forwarded upon request.
