Pair of 1950's Hedi Schoop Geisha Girls Flower Holders Figurines

$85.00
Quantity available: 1

Pair of 12" ceramic Geisha Girl flower holder figurines by California artist Hedi Schoop from her Phantasy Line of the mid 1950's.  They have a cream colored background, decorated in light and dark green, and speckled and edged in gold, and they have a curled shawk over their arms.  The parasols have a gold handle, and the brims are trimmed in gold.  Each lady has a pocket in the back to hold several flowers.  The bottoms are indented with the signature of Hedi Schoop, one also has the number 228, the other with 229.  Both of these ladies have no chips that I could find, have crazing expected from pieces of this age, and are in excellent condition.  Similar figurines in this line are shown on page 234 of Collector's Encyclopedia of California, 2nd Edition, by Jack Chipman (1999), and were valued at $300.

edit, I believe there is a tiny chip on the top of the parasol on the left figure, seen in the photo. A clumsy customer
