Renaissance Revival Figural Enameled Porcelain Vases

Our fabulous pair of French porcelain vases in the Aesthetic style date from the late nineteenth century, and feature finely painted figures of male and females figures in elaborate Renaissance period attire, extensive gilding and faux champleve enamel decorations, circular handles and reverses with repeating wheat sheaf motif on a gilt ground, plus padded feet. Signed H. Catelin.  Apparently unsigned and in good condition, with some rubbing wear and scratches, and one has a hairline in the middle of the body to the rear of the female's back.
