Osborne Diamond Edge Draw Leather Slitting Gauge

$50.00
Quantity available: 1

This is a nice vintage cast iron and steel slitting tool or gauge, generally designed for cutting strips of leather, but may have other uses as well. It comes complete with a good sharp cutter and adjustable width feature that has a graduated scale in inches on it. The tool is marked on the underside of the steel slide, "DIAMOND EDGE", although the Osborne mark is not on this one, the pistol grip shape is identical to the marked Osbourne models we have. The slide bar has the capacity from 1/4"-5" widthes, and can hold a cutter up to 1/4 x 3/4". The pistol shaped handle appears to have had black paint or Japanning on it originally, about 70% remains on it. All in good condition with no cracks or damage, less than normal wear. A nice clean old cutting tool, sharp and ready to use! A nice clean vintage leather working tool!
