Antique Waldorf Astoria Hotel restaurant ware gravy/sauce boat, with coin gold wreath logo and trim. Hotel was located on 5th Avenue in New York City, and in 1929, was torn down and replaced by the Empire State Building. A new hotel was built on Park Avenue. This piece dates from the 1920s before the relocation. Distributed by L. Straus & Sons of New York, and likely made by Buffalo China. Measures 8.5"l x 4.75"h at handle. Shows only light wear to the surface and no chips or cracks. Gold intact. A hard to find piece of the Gilded Age! Inglenook Antiques...Established 1989.
