Antique Chevron Trade Bead Necklace with Cobalt Blue Glass and Red Melon Horn beads / One of a kind unique design hand crafted
Antique Venetian / African large 4 layer Chevron Trade Bead Necklace with Cobalt Blue Glass and Red Melon Horn beads / One of a kind unique design hand crafted . The focal Chevron and the two side chevrons are antique from the 19 century made in Venice and traded in Africa. The rest of the exotic creation is with red dyed melon cut horn beads, round cobalt blue Czech beads, old brick red seed beads combined with old brass beads. At the end of the beaded portion I used an antique watch fob chain and closure which worked out perfectly in keeping with old and design. All of the beads are very old and strung and knotted recently by me using old beads from my personal collection of estate and antique trade beads. The total length is 20.75". The main focal chevron bead is 1" x .5". The two other accent chevron are also 4 layer and from the same cane. The beads show some wear but that is to be expected for antique trade beads. It is strung with high quality cord that is knotted throughout to make for a secure strand for these precious beads.
