Antique 19th century coffee table with Turkish Ottoman Islamic Kutahya polychrome pottery tiles in Iznik pattern mounted as the top of the coffee table.

The top comprised of four radiating fitted tiles ,each finely, hand painted under the glaze on the white ground in cobalt-blue, bole-red, turquoise and green with black outlines, in classical Iznik design , consisting, palmette ,saz leaves and scrolling vine.

The tiles are set on wooden board ,fitted in the 19th century custom made by the European artist beautifully hand forged wrought Iron frame and mounted as the top of the coffee table on the hand forged wrought Iron base with four feet. The iron is signed underneath by the artist with incised initial“M” or “W”

MEASUREMENTS.

Diameters of the top: 44cm (17.32 inches)

Height: 54cm ( 21.26 inches).

Weight: 9 kg (20 lb.).

CONDITION: It shows its age and use. The inner edges of the tiles on exposed areas are slightly chipped and worn , otherwise in excellent condition with no cracks, or repairs.
