Towle Sterling "Weltmer Institute/ Nevada/ Mo." pattern souvenir spoon, circa 1908. The Weltmer Insitute was a mental health facility that used hypnosis, as well as "quack medicine" to treat patients in Missouri. The building was razed in 2005, but is clearly shown in the bowl of the spoon.  Measures 5.75"l.  Used condition with light-moderate wear; no major damage. Sold as is.
