Antique Necessaire Compact Bracelet with Feather Bird on Lid
Antique 2" round silver compact. The lid has a ring around the edge of small enameled blue and white flowers and leaves. In the center is a bird made out of feathers perched on a branch, with a background of what looks to be pale blonde hair, and it is covered by a plastic dome. There is an antique chain bracelet attached, although I'm not sure it is original to the piece. When you open it up, there is nothing inside the bottom area where face powder should be. The inside lid holds a small mirror which has a crack across it. The mirror serves as a door to another area which can hold a small rouge. Included is a small clean powder puff. The inside of the mirror has a machine turned swirl pattern, and the outside bottom of the compact has a machine turned sunburst pattern. This compact dates to the 1920's. Other than the cracked mirror, it is in wonderful condition.
