Antique Japanese Sumida Gawa Vase late 19th century This adorable antique Japanese Sumida Gawa vase has turned iron-red body, neck covered with a glaze of various shades of grey, green and black dripping down the shoulder and into the mouth. With children carrying a Buddhist drum and seated on the side of the vase. This piece is signed on a glazed plaque on side.

Condition: The vase is in good overall condition. As the photos show there is minor old damage; one of child's hand is missing and there is a crack on the body. Nice patina showing its age and usage.

MEASUREMENTS: 22.5 cm (8 7/8 inches) tall and 10 cm (4 in) wide.
