Antique Garden Dibble Small Size

$25.00
Quantity available: 1

This is a nice clean antique utility tool similar in some ways to a cooper's tool called a bung auger, but I am leaning toward a dibble (a tool used in the garden to make a hole in firm soil for a small potted plants, or bulbs).  Plus this tool is marked "J.G. PEPPARD SEED CO. KANSAS CITY MO." on the straight diameter section. The tool is cone shape, with a knife type edge or cutout section about 2.5" long on the cone tapered section.  This tool is made from nickel plated, rolled sheet steel, but the point is poured metal filled for strength at the point. The cone part is 3.75" long and the tool is 6" long overall. The straight diameter is .50". It is a good sturdy tool, with no rust, and it pretty sharp point also.  About 99% nickel plating intact, no damage and no rust. Where do you find another one like it?  (I suppose a wood handle of some sort may have been used with such a tool, but none came with it).
