Antique 19th century Filipino Visayan sword known as a "tenegre". The hilt with water buffalo horn pommel finely carved in the bird’s head form, octagonal still ferrule, a heavy, beveled blade flat on one side and beveled on the other side, with the rare razor sharp. serrated edge. Wood scabbard bound with faux tortoise with a heavy leather locket, at the top and bound, with brass bands.

Overall length without the scabbard: 50.5 cm (19 7/8 inches).
