While growing up in a small town in West Virginia the summers were very hot. The neighborhood hero was the Ice Man. This bald and skinny old man always carried two things. His giant ice tongs and a big smile. This sweetheart of a man was also my grandfather. When he stopped at our house he always took some time to spend with my father. While they visited I would go out to grandpa's truck and play with his tools, especially the giant ice tongs that you see here. I would pick up rocks and chase my friends with it. Those were the good old days. Iron hinged block ice tongs. These are in great shape! A great hand tool. Ice tongs measure 13 inches long.
