Antique English Carriage Foot warmer
Antique foot warmer dating from around the late 1800's to early 1900's. Was told it was from England but it could easily be from France.
Manufactured from sheet steel with a repousse framed floral motiff on the front and back panel.. Plus there are cutouts punched to make a design. There are wood slats on the top of the lid to prevent feet from being burned. This foot warmer would have been filled with hot coals to allow heat to permeate through the various cutouts around the upper half of the heater box. At the front, the warmer has a catch to open and close, which still functions.11.00 x 9.00 x 9.00.
The condition is very good for the age. There is a some places in the inner insert that has some holes from buning coals. There is a small indent on the outer frame.
The measurement shown below are the packaging consideration.
