This pair of patinated bronze statues, set upon ebonized wooden plinths, date from the mid to late 19th century, and depict Oliver Cromwell (1599-1658) [shown on left] and his nemesis, King Charles I (1600-1649), each on horseback.  Each measures approximately 26 in tall, 22 in wide and 12 in deep (66 x 56 x 30 cm).
