The image is from the series of "Views" by William Wise and engraved by Swetnam , c. 1885.  The subject is "Westgate, Warwick" and is beautifully transfer-printed in indigo blue on a white ground from Mintons China Works. The tile is in very good condition with upper left nick, light edge nibbles, 3 miniscule nicks to glaze near center and a few areas of smoke staining near bottom at right from its previous installation in a fireplace, as shown; it is finished in a bright, clear shiny glaze.
