Antique Egyptian Revival Bronze and Marble Mantel Clock

Unavailable

This wonderful mantle clock from the Egyptian Revival period dates from the 1880s or 1890s and comes from the Montreal, Canada shop of Savage, Lyman & Co.  18.25 x 10.25 x 6 in.  It features a case of black and red griotte marble, with bronze vulture under the dials, with the heads of the bull god, Apis, serving as handles, and the seated god, Osiris.  There are some small chip losses to the marble noticeable along the bottom edge of the black margle, and restoration to the right corner of the marble where the finial sits.  Movement appears intact.  Please note, we do not guarantee the running condition of antique clocks, but can nonetheless have the movement inspected and serviced prior to shipment.
