Antique over 200 years old, from 1823, massive German pewter lidded beer tankard stein.
It features a tapered cylindrical shape with molded rims, a "C" section handle with a squared-off terminal, and a flat, domed hinged lid with a ball thumbpiece.

The stein lid is engraved with the inscription: "Die PilgrimSchaft Derd Der Sterblichkeit," along with the date 1823. The stein is marked underneath with the maker's and the town's touchmark. Additionally, the bottom of the stein is marked with an acquisition number from the museum.

CONDITION: showing the age and usage, with minor wear and slight dents.
