Antique Boring Machine Auger Bit 2.0 Inch Diameter

$35.00
Quantity available: 1

This is a clean 2.00 diameter wood auger bit with a 1/2" diameter shank size and the tapered square tip end with the threaded end for a nut can hold it to a T-handle (not included). The tapered end screw is sharp at the end, and in good useable condition. The twin cutting edges have been lightly sharpened for testing and found to cut quite well in pine despite the fact that the spirals do have pitting on those surface that may hinder the wood chip evacution process, but I didn't notice any problems in the pine test. The metal is clean with some pitting causing the spiral surface to feel rough to the touch, but still useable. A hard to find drill, for a turn of the century post and beam drilling machine or to fit your T-Handle. This auger bit is 2" diameter x 19.3"  long overall.
