Benjamin Franklin Porcelain and Siena Marble Inkwell

Unavailable

Our nineteenth century inkwell is finely crafted from Italian Siena marble with a parian porcelain bust of Ben Franklin.  With two bronze lidded inkwells, one with glass liner.  Apparently unsigned.

The bust appears to be based on the famous original in alabaster (and later in marble) by Jean-Antoine Houdon (1741-1828).
