Antique BAT Chinese Ring Rare Jade purple lavender chinese export pre-1900 carved stone Lotus flower Gilt silver Mesh adjustable 9-10

Unavailable

I have never seen a ring like this. Such a real treasure . Purple Jade is of the Jadeite variety and is incredibly rare. The darker the color, the rare the stone. This one has  what I think is a lotus flower on its back.  The sides of this gilt silver ring has a bat on each side. The center jade stone is a carved flower.  The ring has a setting that is 1" long and the ring is adjustable from a 9 to a 10. This is a rare piece of chinese art that is long lost. From 1891 until 1949 their production was marked "made in China." but, because of domestic instability in China (the Boxer Rebellion, the Republican Revolution, regional Warlords, Civil War, Japanese aggression, etc.), there was relatively little trade with that country during that period.
