Antique, late 19th century, a monumental ceramic vase in the form of an Islamic water bottle (surahi) in the 16th-century Imperial Turkish Ottoman Iznik style by Ulisse Cantagalli of Firenze, Italy, converted into a lamp.
Vase has an elongated form, a short foot, is finely hand-painted underglaze in cobalt blue, green, light brown, and blue, decorated with saz leaves, tulips, carnations and other flowers, while the neck and foot with rows of stylized blossoms.
It is marked at the base with a hand painted Cantagalli cockerel.

Height: 75cm (29.5 inches).
Width: 20 cm (7.87 inches).
Total weight: 4.77 kg.

CONDITION: The vase is in good condition, considering its age of more than 100 years, with no cracks, restorations, or repairs.
In the mid-twentieth century it was converted into a lamp.
The base with a drilled hole. Mounted on a custom-made round pewter base and affixed with brass lamp fittings.
