This is an 18th-century Turkish Ottoman Islamic tinned copper ewer. The bulbous body rises from a short foot to a tapering neck. It has a hinged domed lid terminating in a foliate knop, an elegant S-shaped handle, and a curved spout.
REFERENCES: A similar ewer from The Hungarian National Museum Budapest collection is published in the book "Schätze aus 1001 Nacht Faszination Morgenland" (Treasures from 1001 Nights Fascination Orient) by Meinrad Maria Grewenig on page 39.

CONDITION: After more than 200 years, the item shows some signs of wear and use, but it is still in relatively good condition.
