Two antique River Guardian statues of the illusive Dayak Putussibau in Central Kalimantan. Each of these crocodile guardians were carved from single pieces of Ironwood(one of them is highly eroded due to outdoor weather) and were once placed on poles as tall as 3meters high along the river, protecting the locals from crocodiles. They are gorgeous, all u need is a long stick for them. Circa 1920-40.
