Ancient North-Western Asiatic - Caspian Sea Area II Millennium B.C. massive Bronze leaf shaped infantry combat spear head, or sword reinforced with a thick central rib with sharpened edges design for thrusting or cutting, extending into square -section tang with a "button" terminal at the end for fixing firm to handle or shaft.
Overall length: 31 cm (12.2 inches)
CONDITION: In Excellent condition for an antique combat bronze spear that is over 2800 years old. No cracks, or repairs, the surface is covered by, its natural brown and green patina and earth encrustation. There are some nicks from combat on the edges of the blade clearly indicating that the blade was used in combat.
Provenance: From an old Canadian collection formed in the 1980s.
