Rare and unusual Navajo Sand Painting Over Bowl Native American Dancing Man . Quite a rare find. I assume that the bowl if of wood. The sand covered every inch of the the bowl on both sides. The bowl appears to be hand turned as the rim is uneven which is something you'd see in a hand turned bowl with a lathe rather than mass produced. Featured in the center is a Dancing Man with what looks like eagle feathers. There is a little bit of darkening of the sandin one area to the left of the man. There are zero missing patches of sand. Very nice piece. Probably not the kind of bowl you'd use to toss keys or trinket into.
It is 10.5" in diameter and about 2.75" from the table top to the rim. The weight is 1 pound 9 ounces unboxed
