Morrills Improved No. 1 Saw Set Pliers

Unavailable

This is a nice clean saw set pliers marked by maker "MORRILL PATS TRADE MARK", then list 4 different patent number, the oldest from the 1880's era, (shown in photo).  Improved type appears to be the adjustment screw design of the moving plunger contact pad, that was originally a thumbscrew lock on the end of the tool, with no fine adjustment as such. This improved design, has no lock nut as such, but the fine adjustment stays in place just fine, while in use. This one is 7" long overall. All the settings and adjustments are in very good working condition, including a good strong spring. Clean, not rusty, we do note a few areas with minor pitting on them, mostly on the handles.  A rare model from the late 1800's!
