Our lovely bust of a young woman by Dominique Alonzo is crafted from sculpted white marble and bronze, and set upon a pedestal wrapped in variegated blue/white marble.

The artist studied with Alexandre Falguière, and exhibited at the Salon of the Société des Artistes Français (the Paris Salon) from 1912 to 1926.  He sculpted works in the classical style, Art Deco style and participated in the Orientalist movement of the early twentieth century.  His works have regularly appeared at major auction, particularly through Sotheby's.
