Middle Eastern Pottery, Porcelain Vase Blue,White with Geometric, Arrows and Flower Motifs Hand Crafted
Middle Eastern Pottery, Porcelain Vase Blue,White with Geometric, Arrows and Flower Motifs. The vase is unsigned but merely has a number "19" in a circle on the glazed bottom. It is white porcelain with beautiful decorations in blues and green underglaze. The geometric lines and the stylized flowers and the arrows lead me to believe that this is from somewhere in the Middle East. Probably Turkey or Israel. However due to the lack of more markings I am at a loss to make any certain claims. The clay is thick , heavy for the size and gives a clean high pitched ring when tapped that indicates that is is porcelain. The application of color varies some what in intensity and there is some smearing outside the lines. It is obviously handcrafted and very beautiful.
It measures 6" tall 4.5" wide ant the widest point.
