Mid-Century Lalique Antilles Footed Crystal Glass Punch Bowl
This lovely footed punch bowl in colorless pressed, leaded glass crystal comes from the Antilles line that was designed by Marc Lalique (1900-1977) for Lalique in 1950. Signature in script with "Lalique" over "France" dates the piece prior to 1978 when the circle-R registration mark was added to the Lalique hallmark. This oversized goblet with deep bowl is decorated with clusters of grapes in high relief, with a solid stem and base with knop of raise cluster of grapes. The finished pieces in the Antilles line are distinguished by acid-etching to give a satin finish and a high polish at the highest points. An examples of this bowl is in the permanent collection of the Corning Museum of Glass. 12 x 9 x 10 in, 30 x 23 x 25 cm. ( vase footed vase bowl modern vintage )
