Maytag Washer Lennon Family Gains Son Ad 1964 This is a May 1964 advertisement. It is a nice black and white ad from The Maytag Company of Newton, Iowa. Ad shows picture of the Lennon family of which three of the girls sing on the Lawrence Welk Show. Ad reads 3 years ago, the 11 children of Mr and Mrs William Lennon of Venice, California were featured in one of the Maytag ads. Mrs. Lennon, a Maytag owner for the 2nd time was doing the wash for all 13 Lennons and machine had never needed repair. On Oct 16, 1960 daughter Dianne became Mrs. Richard Gass of Venice. In March she bought a Maytag. Great family picture. In mint condition. Photo is taken through plastic and may show wrinkles or crookedness that is not in the ad. This original magazine tear sheet measures 9 inches wide by 12 1/2 inches tall.
