A traditional Malay dagger/Badik used as a weapon of defense or for domestic purposes such as slaughtering animals, or cutting meat or onions. The blade of a badik is forged from steel for durability, decorated with Holy verses of the Quran Bible. Scabbard & hilt made traditionally from real latex(not wood) of the rubber tree. No more than 20 years old, damage free.

Sometimes referred to as a butterfly knife due to its shape, but not to be confused with the Chinese or Filipino butterfly knives.
